Wrong way round, YOU tell us the model number and type and we tell you where to get the shade. You can see the fan in your house, but we can't. That makes it really difficult for us. Some shades are plain, some are fluted, some have patterns.
All is not lost though. Go here and take your pick. They all sell them including Harbour Breeze themselves..

First, you have to get the correct switch! Just because it looks the same on the outside doesn't make it the same on the inside. That's a low-end store brand fan(Lowes). Why would you not mark down what color wire into which slot before you took it off. All I can tell you is the black wire usually goes into the L.
You have 3 options. You can connect the fan blue and the fan black to the red ceiling wire. Then you will need to control the fan and light with the strings. The wall switch will turn off everything. Option 2 is make sure that there is a switch wired to the black ceiling wire. If there is a switch I would check to make sure the switch is working. Option 3 is to purchase a remote control unit for both and leave the wall switch to shutoff the whole unit. Hope this helps.
It's the westinghouse switch. Many results on search. I just wasted 2 hours playing switching wires all combos. Others suggested the switch from Lowe's. Harbor breeze #0033905 . Plug wires back in as you listed Black L, Grey 1, Brown 2, Purple 3. Works perfectly for $3.98 plus tax.
Others said you can call Hampton Bay and get the replacement also.
The remote went bad, this is very common. These are great fans with poor design and cheap remotes. Go to Lowe's buy the new kit ( model: RCE-103LW) $30 bat included. Put battery in and turn off light switch. Have a bic pen ready with the battery cover off. Turn on light switch and press "learn" red button with the pen . You will have to hold it down for about 5 secs. The fan will the turn on medium if it took to learning the new remote. All buttons should now work normal. Return old remote to store for exchange they have a 1year return to to store warenty per the company rep. Anyother problems call 1 800 527 1292. They have good cust. Service.
this black box is a watt governor for the lights. just remove it, and wire direct. then you should be fine, just let me know the outcome!! the box should have vent slots in it. part # for hunter fan. i do not know if its the same as harbor breeze. --- part # 98480-02, this is what makes lights flicker. if need be replace remote. go to www.harborfans.com and click on support to find phone number for assistance. have a good day !!
