Question about Computers & Internet
I need to clean my H/D and reinstall Vista, had major problems with bootmgr and the system ended up corrupt, tried to fdisk and reformat, but cant get fdisk to work on H/D.
The thing is i tried deleting the partitions the H/D is meant to be 500gb it actually shows about 233 at the moment but when it was ok was showing around 456gb or there abouts, I'm happy to use one 456gb H/D at the moment just to get it working, when I try and boot it's coming up ''no operating system'' which is pretty obvious :-) Just need to reformat it then re-install Vista....
Any help or guidance would be very much appreciated...Many Thanks
Just start the vista installation, within the first few steps it will let you configure your disk. you can partition, formats, delete disks, etc
I usually just delete the disk or partitions that are there and choose next, the installation will automatically do the rest and proceed to install windows.
