Re: Msi rg54g3

I take it by your comment "unauthorised people been accessing it" that you wish to use the router wirelessly? do you currently have any type of encryption set up on the wireless signal at the moment eg WPA(2)-PSK, WEP, etc?

Make sure the firmware is the latest and greatest. Then configure the access point for WPA2. You will need to use the new password for all of your wifi devices.

Hi there. I want to configure my MSI RG54G3 for PPPOE. Could you please help?

You have to access the router page first. Try to use admin as username and admin as password. You can also try to put admin as username and leave blank for the password.
Once on the router's page, you will need to look for the setup wizard. For the connection type, make sure to select PPPoE and match the settings with your current ISP.
Good luck!

I have lost the pass code/security key for the Msi router at my mother's house. What can I do to retrieve it? Nick

The WEP, WPA, WPA2 encryption key is in your router's wireless settings. Log into your router and got to the wireless settings, you will need to get the SSID and the encryption key. Then go to your computer/laptop's wireless card and configure it with the router's SSID and encryption key, so it will then connect to the wireless router and the Internet.

Can connect to my laptop wirelessly but internet (router msi rg60

There may be two reason here.
1. If there is any securities like Norton, Macafee, web root which is stopping it again and again. Please unintall these securities once and reinstall them again.
2. Else, it may be an issue with Router. You can disable the security of the router once and check it. or you can reset your router once.
3.Also, scan your computer with malwarebytes.

I have connected MSI RG54G3 to a caple and it's not give me ip and internet access

To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router’s wireless settings configured and also needs the wireless cards in all the laptops and or computers to be configured with the router’s wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.

To set-up and secure the wireless router from unauthorized access, follow these steps: -
1. Connect the wireless router to your computer with a LAN cable.
2. Start your browser and enter the router's configuration URL IP address.
3. Enter the router setup, login and password
4. Change the admin password
5. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
6. Setup encryption key the strongest is WPA2 (if not then WPA).
7. For further security measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router.
8. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings.
9. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s with the SSID and encryption settings of the router.
10. Remove the LAN cable between the router and the computer then the computers should be able to connect to the router wirelessly.
To access the Internet you need to connect the DSL or cable modem to the WAN (Internet) port on the wireless router.
