Screen is completey dark

Could be a multitude of problems. first, check that the cathode heater is glowing. then check that the getters are still silver (indicates vacuum leak) then test for anode voltage (high voltage probe required). if all of the previous tests pass, you should at least have a dot on screen. if not, then signal is not getting to tube (cathode). test cathode connector (disconnect with power off) with o-scope.
