Question about Polaroid A500 Digital Camera
When i turn my camara on the time and data input is the first thing i see. i have reset it and when i take pictures its not the correct data and when i turn my camara off and then back on the time and date input still is the first thing i see.
There is a small 3volt battery soldered on the main board that needs to be replaced. It has a yellow band around it, unless you can replace it yourself it's not worthwhile. If you decide to replace it beware of the flash capacitor charge.

I fixed the same problem all of you seem to be having with your A500 camera, with no solution from Polaroid (the date setup popping up each time I open my camera and all the photos not being in order) - I pitched it, went out and bought another camera with another name. I gave one to my daughter-in-law and the same thing happened to hers within one week of my problem. Shame on Polaroid for not offering their customers a solution to this problem or compensating us in some way! NO MORE POLAROIDS FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It might be something with the mode. I am trying to turn the date stamp off, and on the factory setting, the basic mode is on. Any advanced settings options disappear when my Polaroid i634 is set back to original settings. Slowly over time, the settings changed, and I don't know how. Somebody just clicked buttons, and all of a sudden, it was a more advanced camera w/ ISO settings, date stamp on/off settings, and what-not.

MyCats had the best solution. In my case, ABC Warehouse (Seller) called and asked me if I wanted an extended Warranty. Since it was still in warranty I said no. Guess what happened after the Warranty expired? Yep, the date stuck at 01-01-2003. It's almost if ABC knew something might happen. But then don't they make money on the warranties?

To set the date and time, select the "M" button and then press the 3:00 o'clock position on the circle button five times. On the page called "Setup", press the 6:00 o'clock position to 'down arrow' to Date/Time. I noticed each time you change your batteries, you have to reset this info. I hope this info helps someone!
