Your question is confusing. A washer doesn’t spin when it washes. It agitates. A washer fill with water, agitate, drain then spin water out. Please reword your question.
mine just started doing this on the wash cycle then we have to turn it to drain and spin. Last night it filled with water and refused to do anything else so it said it was done, open the lid and still full of soap and water. Turn it to drain and press the start button and it does nothing, no lights come on. We bought it in 2012, before the washer we had was purchased in 2000, and we are still using the dryer from 2000.
Try this, unplug washer for two minutes, plug back in, open and close lid seven times slowly, this will reset the computer and the electronic motor. Also on water level switch, make sure hose from switch to tub is not plugged, blow it out, gets clogged with soap.
Your drain line is too low.
OR the drain line is restricting air where it enters the drain stand pipe.
Remove the drain line and hold it up high.
Turn the washer on to fill. It should fill then stop.
This example should explain what you must do to correct the drain line problem.
Does it drain and spin if not lift the lid and close it slowly did you here a click? no click check lid switch. if it drains but wont spin and the motor is running most likely a bad motor coupling. fills and nothing but it dose drain and spin look a the water level switch. need more info model #
