Panasonic DMR-EH58- is recording only in B&W

The could have been hit by a small power surge and it you disconnect all power to and unplug it from the wall for 30MIN., it will reset back to normal.

Go to Menu/Settings and highlight your source --ie. Component, HDMI1, HDMI2 or whatever the source is. Black and White becomes color.

I have a Panasonic DMR EH50 DVD recorder and have just discovered this evening that everything on it is displayed in Black & White (tuner, recordings, menu, dvds etc). Yesterday everything was working in full colour. I have checked all my leads and have no solution to this problem and also need help.

Sounds like the electronics have gone haywire. See of there is a factory reset on unit. Or try a hard reset and see what happens.

Make sure your av channel is av2 and not av2s as this will give b/w playback

Change the AV settings on the DVD or TV to be the same format. Feeding AV into an AV-S gives B&W

Did you check the device the camera plugs into to see if it could be the problem. The video input might be dropping the color burst signal.
