Question about Mitsubishi WD73727 73" HDTV
Our tv started getting message of tv will turn off in few seconds... ck and see if vents are blocked.. tv is in cabinet.. i pulled out and cleaned all vents.. not blocked by the way.. this would go on for a while, sometimes we could watch tv for a few hours sometimes not,,, now tv will only stay on for about 1 or 2 hours then shut down with this message... tv takes about 30 mins to come back on...all fans inside have been visually cked and appear to be running..i even cut the back of the tv cabinet off to give tv more air..
You must have a wd series mitsubishi..the lamp tempurature sensor has a manufacturing problem..mitsubishi has an updated one to take care of the problem..the sensor itself is not bad it is the way the wires are crimped in the plug,,the new one is soldered..the part number is 299P313010A,

Have you had your TV serviced at all? If not you will most likely need either the temp sensor on the lamp changed or the interconnect for the temp sensor removed and hardwired to the plug. Any If that doesn?t not correct the problem I would contact Mitsubishi and request a warranty extension if it is out of warranty.
