Yamaha musiccast client not connecting to main server

Hi, I was listening to music (now 3 years old) system when it suddenly stopped working. Looking at the client it shows a break in the connection. The main server still allows me to listen to music - as does one free standing system - but the clients which are wired in - four different rooms in total are not connecting with the main server.

Well, first of all, the method you are using is the lowest quality. You should upgrade to a toslink(digital optical cable) or a digital RCA cable. The toslink is the best all around. But it is normal for some devices to have higher sound output than others.

SOURCE: want to buy YAMAHA RXZ11 receiver but where to get yamaha recomen

Since you're buying a $5400 receiver, You should head down to an audio shop and sample some speakers for yourself.

Speakers that sound wonderful to one person, may sound bad to another. Your ears are unique. Go to a local audio shop and take a CD with some of your favorite music and start listening to them. Energy speakers go well with Yamaha receivers, so I'd recommend you check those out. (The Energy RC Series is a little higher end than their Connoisseur series, but also cost a bit more.)

Again, When you're paying $5400 for a Receiver, you'll want to do some research on your own, and sample some speakers that YOUR ears like.

SOURCE: Regarding a Yamaha RX-V757 receiver, if I have my

Try turning up the volume with just the FM selected (and tuned to a station). If you can adjust the volume to an appreciably higher level when simply tuning in a radio station, then your CD/DVD player may be outputting a signal with a DC offset, which is getting amplified when you turn up the volume, and past a certain point the protection circuitry is sensing too much DC being sent to the speakers and shuts the unit down. If the unit is getting hot, there is likely an internal problem, or you have a shorted speaker wire, or even a bad speaker. Replace the speaker wires as a test, and you can also run the unit with only one speaker connected at a time to see if any are the source of your problem.
Yes, it's possible that there's nothing wrong with the wires or the speakers, and the unit simply needs a trip to the shop, but it's your job to rule out the easy stuff before you pack it up and take it in.

Try re-registering the services on the client computer and see if that fixes it. Otherwise I would consider reinstalling Windows on the client.

How to Stream Music from Windows 7 ? Share Media on Wireless Network

You can listen to your favorite music without having to carry your laptop everywhere by sharing your music library on a wireless network. Here is a tutorial to show how to stream music from one laptop to another. Using this method digital media such as videos and pictures can also be accessed from anywhere easily. By the following method you can listen music or view your photos or movies stored in your computer from different places in the network.

First we'll connect the server laptop to a wireless home network. This laptop has Windows 7 with Media player 12 and it has all the music, videos and media that you want to share. Right-click on the Internet notification area and select 'Open network and sharing center'. Now, click on 'Connect to a network' and from the list of networks, choose the preferred one and connect. Enter the secure network key when prompted.

Let's create a 'HomeGroup'. From 'Network and Sharing Center', click 'HomeGroup' and then 'What is a network location?'. You'll see a window with three options. Select the first one that says 'Home Network'. In the following window, select what you want to share and click 'Next'. Follow the onscreen instructions and Click 'Finish'.

In 'Network and Sharing Center', click 'Change Advanced Sharing Settings' and make the changes. Then go to 'Media Streaming Options' and allow people you want access to your files. Open Windows Media Player, go to 'Stream' and click 'Automatically allow devices to play my media'. The content you chose to share is now on this network.

To access this content on a client PC or laptop, first connect the machine to the same wireless network as the server laptop, using the previous procedure. Vista users can right click and directly select 'Connect to network'. Assuming that both laptops are in the same network, open Windows Media Player and see of you can find the shared server laptop in the left pane.

To find shared media on the network and to share media from the client PC, in WMP, right-click on Library and click 'Media Sharing'. Here, you can allow or deny access to other PCs and find the media you're looking for. Click 'OK' when you're done. Now, the server PC will appear in WMP and other functionalities will remain same. You're now ready to play the music which is stored on the server PC.

What does 192,168,1,254 mean?

Hello,

Your server may be In Active mode, the FTP client chooses the port number that it will use to transfer data on and tells the server which client-side port to send the data to. It issues the PORT command to let the server know what IP address and Port number it will be listening on to receive the data from the server.
PORT 192,168,1,254,4,15 The server then initiates the data transfer to the client, sending the data to the port number that it was told to by the client. Since the Server has initiated the connection, a stateful firewall will not allow the data to be sent back though. (No client has created the connection and so no respective connection exists.)

Hope this helps.
Good Luck

I am trying to downlaod something but i need to wright a proxy sever but i don't know what a proxy sever is or how to do it?

In computer networks, a proxy server is a server (a computer system or an application program) that acts as an intermediary for requests from clients seeking resources from other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource, available from a different server. The proxy server evaluates the request according to its filtering rules. For example, it may filter traffic by IP address or protocol. If the request is validated by the filter, the proxy provides the resource by connecting to the relevant server and requesting the service on behalf of the client. A proxy server may optionally alter the client's request or the server's response, and sometimes it may serve the request without contacting the specified server. In this case, it 'caches' responses from the remote server, and returns subsequent requests for the same content directly.
A proxy server has a large variety of potential purposes, including:
1: To keep machines behind it anonymous (mainly for security.
2: To speed up access to resources (using caching). Web proxies are commonly used to cache web pages from a web server.
3: To apply access policy to network services or content, e.g. to block undesired sites
4: To log / audit usage, i.e. to provide company employee Internet usage reporting
5: To bypass security/ parental controls

Check to make sure all of your paths in the mount command are right. I had this issue a week ago and after putzing with it for a few days I noticed I was trying to mount a non-existent share. Fixed my ***** command and it worked right away. Other things to look at: Check your /etc/exports on the server and make sure the shares are in there. Also make sure that they are active by restarting nfs (/etc/init.d/nfsd restart (may be different now, that worked years ago)). Last, double check your mount command on the client. Make sure the share exists and the server is pingable. If this doesn't help, you may want to try searching on some linux specific forums. linuxquestions.org is good, or if you have ubuntu, ubuntuforums.com.
