I took the bottom panel off as I found out there is a sheet down there. It mentioned that there is a pump filter. I found it and opened it up. The thing was full of "stuff". I emptied it and things are better.

One note, be sure all the water is out before you unscrew that thing, or you'll get wet. Thanks

Am I using the wrong kind of detergent?

Could be. The instruction manual could provide guidance. Sometimes manufacturers are very specific about what to use and how to use it.

I have a maytage neptune washer mah8700a that displays "suds". It runs several additional rinse cycles before completing the wash. Have switched to tide and run much less soap. Tried an empty load on

Are you using detergent that is rated for HE (high-efficiency) washers? They are manufactured to require less per load and produce fewer suds. Conventional detergents in HE washers will result in over-sudsing.

Every other wash sd code come on

The SD error code is caused by using the wrong detergent or excessive amounts of detergent.

To correct the issue: Make sure to use HE detergent. Note: Using Non - HE Detergent will cause oversudsing and can damage the washer. Do not use too much detergent.

Note: If using HE 2x - 5x concentrate detergent, reduce the amount being used. The washer will try to run a mini-clean out cycle using cold water and a 5 minute pause to clear the suds. If this cycle does not clear the display and complete the cycle the clothing may need to be rinsed by hand and then rewashed without detergent.

My washer stops in the middle of the cycle and displays F-1 and after I have to set it on the rinse / drain cycle to complete. Today for the first time it also displayed 5d at the end of the cycle.

5d or Sd means too much detergent was used. Try the following

Run the unit through a RINSE/SPIN cycle.
Run a NORMAL cycle without adding any detergent.

This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.

Oe error code, cleaned filter, checked hose

You might be using too much detergent and causing a sudslock condition. The machine uses very little water and any amount over a teaspoon of HE will simply cause the machine to lock down. An OE error means it took longer than 10 minutes to drain the tub. IF the machine is trying to correct a sud problem it will continually toss in more water till sudslock is corrected. Press and hold: SPIN SPEED & SOIL LEVEL buttons--then press POWER button.
Wait for door to lock.

Press the START button (6) times--this will fill the tub with hot water to the maximum setting when it stops filling.

Press the START button two more times--this will enable the tub to tumble.
After 3 hours--turn "off" the washer.
Turn the washer back "on".
Select the shortest wash cycle (usually "quick wash") and press "START". This will rinse out the tub.
This method of "TUB CLEAN" is *not* from a service manual but has been the best method for cleaning out LG washers more than a year into incorrect detergent usage.

Soap suds on the door at the end of a wash cycle. Miele E526

With all modern front loading washers, you might find that the amount of detergent you need is much less than what is recommended by the detergent makers!

First, be sure you're using the He (High Efficiency) detergent and try using only 2 or 3 tablespoons of detergent. If you've heavily stained clothes, be sure to pre-treat them rather than adding more detergent. That should also help with the extra soap left in the clothes after a complete wash cycle.

Give this a try and adjust the detergent as needed to get the best results for your situation.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regard!

My washer is flashing sud...what do i do?

SUD mean you may have put too much soap in the load. (I'm a technician and I did the same thing this weekend "OOPS") I ran out of HE Detergent and used some I had laying around.

The washer will go through a cycle to get rid of the excess suds. When the cycle completes, just remember to use less detergent OR a high efficiency (HE) Detergent.

If you did not use a different amount or brand of detergent, let me know. Also, if the cycle does not complete, let me know.
