Question about Audio Players & Recorders
Hi, I have a Teac W-505R dual cassette deck that I bought a few years ago and have barely used. The left deck doesn't function when I press play, fast forward, or reverse. I've tried all combinations of buttons in hopes that I just forgot how to use the dang thing. The right deck works...it's just the left one that isn't doing running. Any thoughts? Should I just chuck the thing. I'm sure it would cost more to repair than it's worth. I'd appreciate any suggestions/helpful hints that you could provide. Thanks for any help! Regards, Janice
Possible that the drive belt has broken or is slipping. Disable all outside noise and listen closely as you attempt play or fast forward button. can you hear a motor turning? I have replaced a drive belt in these but may be hard to find except maybe on ebay (search for an as-is unti for parts only).
