Question about Black & Decker D2030 Iron
The iron is several years old. It still works on heat, but the steam button does not engage and the iron dues not work in steam mode. A screw has fallen out of the unit, and I'm sure this is the problem. How do I get inside the iron? The only screw is in the back and has a triangular entry. I do not have that tool. Is there a simple way of getting access to the interior?
If you have a multimeter and know how to use it get that tool ! if not , buy another one.

Tips for a great answer:
Feb 14, 2015 | Tefal Irons
if there is no light or heat even when the thermostat is switched to the hottest setting then assumption is that the iron is defective.
with the iron not plugged in check the cable and see if it is worn or kinked or cut. look for any burn markings on the plug. if the iron is some years old it may also be that the element has burnt out. this happens more often in areas where water scale is high.
I hope this was useful.
