Question about IBM ThinkPad T30 2366 Notebook
Got error that operating system was not found - then one that hard drive wasn't there. Replaced hard drive and reinstalled XP, but the wireless connection is nowhere. Have wireless network in my house that should be detected automatically. How do I get to it?
1st go to MY COMPUTER, RH CLICK-PROPERTIES,HARDWARE TAB, DEVICE MANAGER,NETWORK DEVICES. CLICK ON THE + TO OPEN THE INSTALLED
NETWORK CARDS. YOU SHOULD MOST LIKELY HAVE 2 LISTINGS 1- YOUR ETHERNET PORT
2-YOUR WIFI CARD. THERE SHOULD NOT BE AN EXCLAMATION POINT OR A QUESTION MARK, EITHER INDICATING A PROBLEM. IF YOU DO HAVE EITHER LOOK AT THE DRIVERS 1ST AND THE ACTUAL HARDWARE 2ND. IF BY CHANCE YOU DONT SEE YOUR WIFI CARD
THEN TRY REMOVING IT AND REINSTALLING IT. TURN ON YOU COMPUTER AND SEE IF
XP RECONIZES IT "NEW HARDWARE FOUND". YOU HAVE TO SUPPLY A DRIVER FOR IT AS
WELL. GOOD LUCK

IBM is a different beast all together. You need the driverse if you can't find it on the IBM website try going to the Intell website and looking up the card its self.
