SOURCE: i have a hotpoint aquarius
sound like a bad water inlet vavle, also make sure the water on off vavle under the sink is turned on I am saying this not to be funny but if you have had plumbing issues lately the plumber may have not turned the water back on.

May be open circuit water valve. Appliance will go to error mode if water level has not reached a certain height after a preset time. Check coil continuity with a multi meter. Should be looking for about 200 ohms.

The problem is probably a failed solenoid valve that opens/closes for water to come in and stop when the float says it is full.
If the solenoid is not the problem, the main controller could have failed.
