I cannot update antivirus.AVG - Computers & Internet

What you need is a good Antivirus or Antivirus. Its usually very benefiting when you have Antivirus installed in your PC from the first day you start working with a computer especially a computer that is hooked with internet or/and is being used with media that is of an unreliable source and may be infected.
You can try removing viruses from your computer but if the Viruses has occupied heavily certain part of the root partition then the antivirus will not be able to help you and you will have to clean install your OS (Windows or Linux etc). Do not forget to update your Antivirus with latest update.
To start with a good and a Free antivirus you can try AVG before you purchase a complete version of any good Antivirus with full features.

Sometimes AVG is unable to update due to their servers being updated. Verify that you can go to free.avg.com. If you can go there and your program still refuses to update, re download a new installation package, run it, and do a repair installation on AVG. That should fix the issue. If it doesn't, uninstall AVG completely and then reinstall after you reboot 2x.

Go to www.download.com and download the free AVG antivirus. Its a very good free antivirus program. You just need to download the updates manually.

if you can't update the AVG. I suggest you just go to AVG and update the antivirus engine

unless there is a problem with the server at AVG it should update no problem, when you click update for the first time you have the option to click file or internet, clicking internet should go to the AVG server. Sometimes it takes a few times to update, but if it continues, uninstal AVG and re install it.
