Install windows xp3

I hope you mean SP3(Service Pack 3) on XP. Please follow these steps

Do one of the following:

  • If you downloaded SP3 from the website, to install it immediately, click Open or Run and follow the instructions on your screen. To install the program later, click Save and download the installation file to your computer. When you're ready to install the service pack, double-click the file.

  • If you're installing SP3 from the Service Pack 3 CD, insert the disc into your computer with your current version of Windows XP running, and the Software Update Installation Wizard should automatically appear. If this wizard doesn't appear, click Start, double-click My Computer, right-click your CD or DVD drive, and then click AutoPlay.

  1. On the Windows XP Service Pack 3 page, click Next.

  2. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

  3. After the installation is complete, click Finish to restart your computer.

  4. If you disabled your antivirus software, enable it again.

Click "Install Norton AntiVirus" when the installation wizard opens. Click "Install Options" and click "Browse" if you want select a different location than the default for the program.

Step 5:

I can't install xp on pre vista installed laptop

After the death of Windows XP, almost all notebook PCs come with Windows Vista pre-installed. But if you like Windows XP more than Windows Vista then a simple Windows XP wouldn't suffice for installing it on your notebook PC. If you BIOS has an option to change your hard disk mode from SATA to IDE then you can just pop in the good old Windows XP CD and get it set up within minutes. But if it doesn't, then you have to do it the other way as mentioned below.

You will just be requiring the Windows XP CD and a few softwares and stuff that I will tell you as we go along. You might ask just why wouldn't a normal XP CD do the task? The answer is pretty simple. The original Windows XP CD does not have SATA drivers so it can't detect your hard drive during the installation process. The solution is simpler. Just slipstream them into the CD! So lets begin.

Step 1 : Download and install nLite

This is an amazing software that lets you tweak and hack your XP CD to the core with an extremely easy to use UI. Download and install the software .

Step 2 : Download SATA drivers

You need to get your hands on the SATA drivers next, that you will need to slipstream into the CD. Although there are different version based on your motherboard that you can search them on Intel website or download the standard ones , which work with most of the motherboards. After downloading extract the driver and remember the location.

Step 3 : Insert XP CD and start nLite

Now that you successfully have the tools and utilities, we can get down with the real stuff. Launch nLite after inserting Windows XP CD into the drive. Choose to make an image of Windows XP in a directory of your choice. Click next and proceed to skip import or load previous settings step by clicking next and proceed to next step.

Step 4 : Add the SATA driver

On the next page, you will find a "Drivers" tab. Click on it and also check the bootable ISO option and then click on next. Click on the button at the bottom to insert the driver. Give the location to the folder where you extracted the SATA driver. You will find a couple of inf files, select any one of them. Now select the all the driver files. That is it, click Next.

Step 5 : Burn the ISO

You will now be asked for confirmation, select yes and let nLite integrate the driver and create a bootable image. Burn it on a CD by just hitting the Burn button at the bottom and you will be ready to install Windows XP on your laptop!

2.
If this isn't the word Gujarati: ગુજરાતી, in Gujarati then your computer probably doesn't have a Gujarati Unicode font installed and you will have problems reading the Gujarati section of this site.
Following are instructions for getting Gujarati Unicode to display properly on various computer operating systems.
Microsoft Windows Microsoft Office 2000 and Microsoft Office XP If you have a copy of Microsoft Office 2000 or Microsoft Office XP, or Microsoft Publisher 2002, and Gujarati is not displaying properly then you should install the Arial Unicode MS font which is distributed by Microsoft with these products.
If you are unsure how to install Arial Unicode MS from CD then please consult the Microsoft Help and Support website - try searching for "Arial Unicode MS".
Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 are not distributed with Arial Unicode MS so you will need to install an alternative Gujarati font.
You can download the following free, open source Gujarati fonts from the Indictrans Project:
Padmaa Medium, Padmaa Bold
Once you have downloaded the font file you can install using the font utility in the Control Panel, alternatively just copy the .ttf files into your \windows\fonts\ directory. There are more detailed instructions on our installing fonts page.

Reboot

To Reboot a computer is to turn it off, wait at least 20 seconds, then turn it back on.

A.If you're thinking of Reboot, as to reinstall the Operating System, you use a Restoration Disk, (sometimes listed as Recovery Disk), insert it in your CD/DVD drive, and restart your computer.
(Just press the CTRL, ALT and Delete keys AT THE SAME TIME.
Not shouting. Windows XP and Windows Vista are examples of an Operating System)

B.If you're trying to install an Operating System, from a CD disk that you bought, I suggest you go into BIOS Setup, and in Boot Order, change the first boot device to CDROM. Insert the CD disk in your CD/DVD drive, and restart the computer.

If you buy a Full Installation CD disk, as listed above, you have to change the Boot Order.
For example:
1.You have Windows XP on your computer now. It has problems, and doesn't work correctly. Instead of getting the Restoration Disk from your computer manufacturer, you decided to just buy a genuine copy of Windows XP, and install it. (This is a Full Installation Disk)

The Windows XP you have installed now, will not let the one you bought install over it, by just putting the disk in the drive. Change the first boot device, in Boot Order to CDROM, and it will. The Windows XP you have now, will 'see' the Windows XP you're trying to install, as just the same version. You have to install a better version of Windows, in order for it to write over what is installed.
Such as Windows Vista.

2.You have Windows Vista on your computer, and are not happy with it. You would like to put Windows XP on instead. Windows XP is considered a lesser version, and Vista won't let it write over it.
Go to BIOS Setup, change the first boot device in Boot Order, to CDROM, and it will.
