Do any lights come on when you try to boot?
Is there a switch on your new power supply, and is it in the on position?
Is there anything at all that shows up on your monitor when you try to boot?
Are you getting any beep codes?

Ok, While I realize you have a new power supply, and assuming it is still installed, pull the main connector from the motherboard and jump across from the green wire to one of the black wires next to it just long enough to see if the PS fan starts. If it does, then check all the wires from the MB to the front panel of your box.

If all are in their proper place, reset your bios by removing the battery for 20 minutes.

If still no joy, make sure all your memory sticks are well seated, along with all your PCI/AGP/PCI-E cards and cables for your hard drives.

If you still can't power up, replace your MB

If you put the motherboard in - make sure there is no dead short from case to pcb from any metal standoffs / supports in any position OTHER than a mounting hole.

see if get bios beeps with no memory in - can try same by removing video card - if you get error beeps, memory or vidcard need a closer check for spec, seating etc

My PC power supply crashed, burnt resistors, Powerman IW-P250A3-1 20 pin plug to motherboard, bought new power source, but the old power source had a white cable to the 20 pin plug which was -5vdc 0.3amp....

Hello,
For your system to boot up properly, you need an identical power supply for your system. Most likely the reason why your system won't boot up right now is because you purchased a different power supply and it is lacking something(which is the other pin).

No power

HERE'S THE ANSWER TO YOUR PROBLEM:

The main reason why your TV won't turn on is because of its power supply board. This power supply board are composed of capacitors that are the responsible for the proper supply of current to your TV. If one or many of these capacitors are already burned out or "dead" your TV won't turn on at all. Here's what you've got to do:

1. Open your TV or let somebody do it, much better a technician.
2. Check the Power Supply Board.
3. Check the capacitors. Remove the "dead" ones and replaced it with "new" ones. You can buy capacitors to the nearest hardware in your town, or to your service provider.

I would suggest you to do it with a presence of a TV technician, so that you will be guided properly. Thanks for your question. I hope it helps....

Dear sir! my dell optiplex gx 150 won't start when i press the power button but power supply will be start and pc can't give any beep ?

try to remove the power cable on that product and then hold the power button for 8 secs. Reinsert back the power cable and press the power button. If it won't turn on, then the power supply is the main cause of trouble. Contact dell right away for repair...

Storm knocked power off late yesterday afternoon....back on this morning. PC won't power up....small green light on back flashing. Modem, router, etc. all back up and running, but PC won't turn...

Hello,
The first thing to try is to cycle the power. To do this, unplug the power cord from the back of the PC and press and hold down the power button on the PC for 5 seconds. This will completely drain any "stuck" power in the components. Now plug the power back into the PC and try booting. If it still does not come back on after this, then you may be dealing with a blown power supply. You can buy replacement power supplies from your local PC shop for about $50 for a 400watt.
To protect your devices in the future, make sure you have a good surge protector and / or a UPS (uninterrupted power supply).

When I start my computer it runs for 5 seconds and turns off tried a new power supply but same thing happens

Welcome to FixYa

If you already replaced the power supply of the system then the next most logical step is to replace the motherboard. Power problems with computers is usually caused by a defective power supply or motherboard.

Hope this helps

When i power on the PC no beep, no image, led inside PC lights ON OFF green light Please help me (my PC is HP- P4SD motherboard)

when PC cannot boot there is probably failure on installation RAM, VGA (external), or Power Supply. in your case (no beep) maybe it is your power supply don't have enough power to boot or its already damaged. try to another power supply with higher voltage (watt), or change with the new ones. hope this useful, regard riyan.
