Had the same problem. From Baumatic:

"
Unfortunately, the bulb is positioned next to the main working component of
the microwave. This means only a qualified domestic appliance engineer,
trained to work with microwaves can carry out such a repair. If you wish to
have a Baumatic engineer attend, please contact the Baumatic Customer Care
team direct on 0118 933 6911. If, however, you wish to purchase the correct
bulb and have a local engineer carry out the repair, please call the
baumatic Spares team direct on 01235 437 244 for price and delivery"
information.

Since my previous post I decided to ignore the warning change the bulb anyway - mines out of warranty so that isn't an issue either. Actually, if you can work a screwdriver then it's not all that difficult in my view. The following describes how I did it BUT I'm not recommending that you follow my actions and anything you choose to do to your microwave is up to you; I take no responsibility whatsoever for any damage you cause to anything by copying my actions. 1. Before you start anything UNPLUG THE MICROWAVE FROM THE ELECTRIC!!!!! 2. Remove all the screws on the sides and back retaining the cover (about 10 if I recall correctly. Put them somewhere safe. 3. Remove the cover by sliding it back and then upwards. Watch your fingers or wear some gloves for this as some of the edges are very sharp!! 3. On the right side of the machine (looking from the front) you will see lots of wires and electrical/electronic gubbins. Slightly behind these you will see a black plastic sort of oval shaped object with two wires attached to it. It is held in place by two bent metal tabs that protrude through the holes - this is the bulb holder. 4. Bend the tabs straight, i.e. pointing straight out from the side. You only need to use your fingers to do this but again watch for sharp edges. 5. slide the bulb holder and bulb out. This is a bit awkward because of all the wires but it can be done. Be gentle and don't force anything. 6. Replace the bulb with a similar one. I used a 25W 'oven' bulb because (a) the correct 20W Baumatic item was £6 compared with £2 for the oven bulb and (b) because I thought it best to use a high temperature bulb for those times when the grill or oven facilities are being used. Important part is to get one narrow enough to fit through the hole (~28mm diameter). By the way its an SES (Small Edison Screw) fitting. 7. Insert the new bulb in the holder, slot the assembly back into the hole that it came out of and then bend the tabs back to hold it in place - don't bend them too far though, as you may need to change the bulb again some day!! 8. DON'T TEST THE BULB WITH THE COVER OFF!! The cover acts as a shield from the microwave energy, which could do you serious damage. 9. Replace the cover (watch your fingers again). This is more tricky and you may need an assistant. Place the cover down over the oven about 2cm back from where it needs to end up and then slide it forward. The top and both sides need to engage, so this is where you may need help to tuck the sides in as they tend to spring out. It may take some adjustment to get it to fit but be patient and don't force it. 10. Replace ALL the screws, noting that the two screws on the right hand side are countersunk and different from the others. 11. Plug the power back in and open the door, the light should come on. 12. Sit back and feel smug!!

Replace bulb

You must remove the metal cabinet around the oven, there are machine screws on the back and on the sides, take them out and the cabinet slides off. Make sure you unplug it well before you start work to replace the bulb.

Microwave doesn't work but the oven does

Possible that the magnetron is faulty or that the main capacitor to the HT is weak or faulty.
Please check with caution on the HT side for the voltage on switch on as the microwave is selected to power.

The trim kit would be passively vented. I would contact the manufacturer's customer service peoiple for details. You may also need to ask to speak to a technician if the customer service folks can't fully answer your inquiry. See http://www.baumatic.co.uk
