My Sony MDR-RF970RK Headphones stopped working. After fully charging them they only work for about 10 minutes and then turn off. They're probably about 2 years old and I'm wondering if I might need new batteries. What type of battery does it need? How can I tell for sure if this is the problem?

My 3 week-old Sennheiser RS140 headphones stopped working. It appears as if the base station is receiving an audio signal as the on/off light and compression lights are on, however no sound is coming out of the headphones (not even the beeps). I've reset the system as described in the manual by unplugging the base station and removing the batteries, but that did not work either. I've also replaced the 3-week old batteries with brand new ones, and tried a different audio source, but still no sound. Any ideas? thanks

Sound and noise canceling comes and goes in right ear. Just touching the right ear piece creates problem. Moving around on right ear makes it come and go. When using only as noise cancelling, right side seems to come and go and is very sensitive when touched or moved on ear. Music or speech is intermittent and sensitive to touch. Left side is normal with none of the right side problems.
