Question about Car Audio & Video
Kenwood KVT-847DVD Player resets at random intervals while playing music watching movies or when no doing anything, this was moved from my Series 1 KJ Verada to my Series 2 KJ verada and its been playing up ever since the move, I took it out and bought a new battery for my car then put the unit back in and it worked for a few days but started playing up again I think I may need to retrace the wiring and connections, My father gave me a hand installing the unit and he is an electrical engineer everything was done properly the only thing I can think of is poor connection somewhere or a possible dry solder joint but I would like any other suggestions\other reports of a similiar problems cheers, matt
I solved this by changing where the power for the DSP unit was coming from the manual specifys to connect them to the same +12 connector for display and DSP and it worked fine in the Series 1 however for some reason in the series 2 the DSP unit draws too much power from the headunit +12 power connector and as soon as the unit fires bass in a song etc it drags it down to the point of the display shutting off, I change the +12 on the DSP unit to my 4GA +12 power cable through an adaptor block and it has worked fine since.
