It could be that it is just too cold still. Typically these units don't work well if it is under 70 degrees. However....we have had a lot of problems with these machines. Many of them have either sealed system problems (leaks) or the fan motor fails. I would suggest that you take it to an authorized repair center if possible. I believe there is a five year warranty on the machine.

Kenmore 54351 Dehumidifier is leaking -- water isn't going into the tray, but seems to be leaking out into the floor.

Mine is doing the same thing. The bucket is dry and the floor is flooded, so it is not an inability to condense, and it is not that the bucket has overflowed, and the bucket does not have a leak. It had been working great and then this suddenly started happening, it's as if the water is not flowing along the proper route and instead is gathering behind the bucket.

Danby Dehumidifier DDR7009REE leaking water, bucket not full

Hi there,
The unit may need cleaning. You can contact Danby customer service (1-800-263-2629) to get in contact with a technician.
There may be something clogging the passage to the bucket and the water is finding the path of least resistance.
As well, it is important to remember to clean the filter once a month.

No water collected

check to see if the fan is blowing across the condenser. there should be warm air blowing out the back. if there isn't, the fan may need to be replaced so the heat exchanger can cool down. may be running too hot. also check the condenser in the front to see if the air flow is blocked with dust. if so, change the filter if it has one. if there is cool air blowing, the compressor may not be turning on.

Right when I turn it on, it says "FULL". It is not full. I have a hose to drain it. There is a part in the front that opens up. There's no water inside... This isn't even a year old.

The float valve in the top of the bucket may be stuck in the UP position. If so, gingerly jiggle the float valves arm, to get it to return to the DOWN position.

Hope this helped you.

I just bought a friedrick 1883 50 pint dehumidifier but it came with no manuel. it's working great except its not collecting water in the water tray. what am i doing wrong?

Go here for a manual along with other resources.
http://www.friedrich.com/support/brochures-and-manuals/residential-dehumidifiers

I suspect that it isn't collecting water either because there is not enough moisture in the air to remove any water, or the humidity setting is to high.

Thumbs Up if helpful, Feedback is Appreciated!!!

Dehumidifier isn't not removing humidity. Fan and lights are working, but the water container remains empty. It is not pulling water from air. I think that the heating element may not be working.

dehumidifier's remove moisture from the air,so you really don't want water anywhere close, the tray in a dehumidifier is to collect water removed from the air. a humidifier is easy, you put a pan of water close to a heat source or moving air
