Question about T-Mobile Dash Smartphone
There are two types of cards that can go in a t-mobile phone.
The microSD card adds memory to the device, this increases the number of applications you can run and the amount of data you can store. This is probably a gross oversimplification, but depending on type of phone and operating system; the SDcard will basically work as a hard drive and free the internal memory in the phone to work more like RAM. You can see if it is working by checking the phone settings available memory.
The second is a SIM card. This is made to allow you to change the behavior of the phone. When it is supported you can use the same phone on multiple carriers or change calling areas by changing this chip. I don't know if this is supported by T-mobile anymore so you propbably mean the latter...
