I just had an "amp error" message display on my Pioneer DEH-15UB and it quit playing. No sound at all. It happened while I was driving my Jeep. When I got home I removed the passenger side speaker from the sound bar and found the previous owner had used a wood screw to hold the wire to the speaker. That screw came into contact with the metal roll bar and caused the error. When I installed ends on the wires the error message cleared itself and now works fine

Your amp is not turning on - what you should do is connect the "blue/white - remote turn-on lead" to whatever wire you have the "blue - power antenna" output from the Alpine connected to now. That should solve your problem.

manual said electrical / mechanical. As it's to do with the CD it's probably mechanical. not a lot you could do, Probably the motor is jammed, lens needs cleaning something like that. Best think without opening it up. shoot some air down into the CD slot

Shut it off then hold the function button, cycle through till you find your option to turn it on, the turn the radio back on and use you source button to change to CD, TUNER, and AUX
SOURCE: Connecting Pioneer DEH-2000MP to an amplifier
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
You would need a special adapter that connects to the speaker wires of the Pioneer DEH-2000MP and converts them to line level RCA ports. Something like the image below and available from here or most car stereo stores.
Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
