I just had an "amp error" message display on my Pioneer DEH-15UB and it quit playing. No sound at all. It happened while I was driving my Jeep. When I got home I removed the passenger side speaker from the sound bar and found the previous owner had used a wood screw to hold the wire to the speaker. That screw came into contact with the metal roll bar and caused the error. When I installed ends on the wires the error message cleared itself and now works fine

SOURCE: radio has sound but not the CD player or iPod

Your amp is not turning on - what you should do is connect the "blue/white - remote turn-on lead" to whatever wire you have the "blue - power antenna" output from the Alpine connected to now. That should solve your problem.

manual said electrical / mechanical. As it's to do with the CD it's probably mechanical. not a lot you could do, Probably the motor is jammed, lens needs cleaning something like that. Best think without opening it up. shoot some air down into the CD slot

SOURCE: Connecting Pioneer DEH-2000MP to an amplifier

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

You would need a special adapter that connects to the speaker wires of the Pioneer DEH-2000MP and converts them to line level RCA ports. Something like the image below and available from here or most car stereo stores.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

I need to know the pinout configuration on a pioneer DEH-15UB

I assume you do not have the harness? I would suggest buying one they are available on ebay, amazon, metraonline.com plus dozens more sources. Connecting wires to the pins on the radio chassis is difficult at best and all it would take is one to touch the wrong one and fry the radio.

DEH-15UB

hi brian, the remedy to your problem is simple. your power wiring from the unit has been incorrectly connected to the vehicle. from the unit connect the yellow wire "directly" to the battery +12v positive line, and the red wire to a "swiched" +12v positive position on the ignition barrel, OR the yellow and red wires can be joined together directly on the battery +12v positive line. also make sure that the ground connection is 100% secure. cheers.

SUBS WONT TRUN ON

Hello fresttadefjm,

There are no subwoofer settings on the Pioneer DEH-2800MP.

You need to check the external power amplifier and the connections from the Pioneer and from the sub(s). If everything is plugged in and wired correctly, check the amp fuses, both on-board and the main power fuse (located in the amp positive lead usually near the vehicle battery).

Hope this helps.
