Go to www.dell.com. Click on the support for my system link. All software/drivers/updates that were originally preinstalled on your system can be downloaded free of charge from here. Download & install what you need and you should be all set. Hope this helps.

is an automated Latitude D410 XP restore disk. The Latitude D410

You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page for your Dell latitude D600. Make sure you select your model laptop, better still type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop. Dell usually use different PCI cards in the same computers down load a small program call unidentified device identifyer and see what the sound card is the you can click on driver and it will go to site where driver is downlaoad install and reboot the computer if that does not work Most drivers I get are on the web site

did you try to check if the sound card or the sound driver of the laptop is installed, if not go to support.dell.com and install the latest driver of the laptop,put the service tag of the system and that is the 7 alpha numeric characters at the bottom of your system.
The flickering may not be caused by a corrupt driver, it could be the impending failure of the fluorescent back light of the display or its high voltage supply.
Trying driver replacement though is the first thing to try.
If the original driver is corrupt, you can try the following;
- Right-click on My Computer - Left-click on Properties - Click on Hardware tab - Click on Device Manager - Locate and open Display Adaptors
- Locate the video listing for your
- Highlight and delete this - Reboot the computer
If Windows does what it should (no guarantee on this!), it will 'find' a 'new device' and install the driver for it.
