Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Wash cycle taking twice as long to wash. Says it's finished but is still washing

The washing machine has started to wash for double the time it should. Washing on a cotton cycle on 30degrees usually takes 45mins. The last few days it has been taking close to 2 hours. It displays that thier is o:00 minutes to go but it is still in wash mode. I have been setting it to rinse and then drain to get the washing finished. Help!

Why the time would be change after the completion of wash ?

washing machines use a timer for the wash cycle
if your model has a clock as well then when it starts it moves to count down until the wash is finished the the clock switches back on at the right time
your question is very ambiguous

I have an Aqualtis 9l29i washing machine. It is working fine but the wash cycles are all ridiculously long.Put it on the quick wash yesterday, three hours later still washing!! Suggestions please?

1. Front load machines always have much longer cycles.

2. The machine you have has a time saver mode on most cycles.

3. Check with your local Ariston reps on the time various wash cycles should take with your model if this is not specified in the user manual, which it normally would be.

4. These are notoriously bad over priced machines which will give you trouble early in ownership and are expensive to fix. For half the price you can buy a good top loader that will give you at least twice the trouble free years of use and not run ridiculous wash cycle times.

I used aml 85 ariston washing machine but it takes time to wash it takes 2 and a half hour to finished.how can i make quick washed for this.i want like 1 hour wash only

Select a quick wash cycle which will take in less time to load water , rinse and spin, Also choose with a smaller load. check the INLET water pressure to be good, check the drain to be effective, if not clean both the valves..

F1247td is taking much longer than suggested wash time, over double in some cases

Sounds like a heater issue, holding up the timer due to not getting to temperature. Could also be timer, or even pressure switch. Difficult to diagnose without testing individual wash cycles.

Water building up during the dry cycle and clothes getting wetter

1) Make sure wash cycle is 100% finished (sometimes dryer will start before - usu on synthetic cycle & allows water to continue flowing in)

2) Manually start the dry cycle after you ensure wash cycle is finished and push in the wash cycle button.

Hope that helps! If not, you may need a new control module (I did - hope you don't!)

Washer won't start cycle after door is closed

Try taking the top of the machine off and checking all of the electrical connections, including the one to the door lock. I have to do this about once a month with my machine and it seems to work.

sounds like it could be the transmission. Does the tub turn when you turn the pulley in either direction with your hand? And take the belt off see if the motor turns when you close the lid and turn it on without the belt??

Washing time & quality

Look for wash cycles in your users'manual. It is best the read the manual well before operation.
