Wireless Internet connection Stalls

I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 w/ Dett Tru Mobile 1400 WLAN card, recently I had to reinstall all the XP pro and all my drivers and now my wireless card does not seem to be configured properly. I can connect to the internet but the connection stalls out and connection is dropped. Packets are received but not sent. Then 15 minutes will go by and the internet will start again but moments later it will stall again.

Verify that you have the correct type of authentication in wireless- if your router is set to WPA2, then you would have to go under the connection properties > security tab to change it to match that setup. If that does not work, then the issue may be that the wireless card is defective and starting to fail.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 that has a Microsoft Windows Error message that will not go away even when closed. It says "Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller stopped working and was closed"....

Try Deleting the wireless card from Device Manager.

Beware though, if you do this all your wireless settings, such as network names and keys, will probably be deleted as well.

Then right click on the name of your computer and click scan for changes and that will then reinstall the card. Can't say it will help but it's woth a shot.

My inspiron 1501 informed me that the WLAN IEEE 802.11 WAS MALFUNCTIONING.WHAT TO DO?

The WLAN may be faulty or the driver got corrupted.
Reinstall the WLAN driver and check the Device Manager to see it the WLAN is working and enabled, if it is then configure it to match your wireless router settings.
If this doesn't work the most likely the WLAN card is faulty.
To get a wireless connection again, purchase a PCMCIA wireless card and insert it into the PCMCAI slot, install the driver for this wireless card and configure it to match your wireless router settings.

Can't connect to internet after reinstalling window-inspiron 8600

Use a computer that is connected to the Internet, then download and copy the drivers on to a CD or USB menory stick and install them on your computer.

You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop. This will open the page where the specific drivers for your model laptop are located. Also make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Can not connect to internet using wireless

Did you input the WEP key? I will assume you are using Windows XP. So go to control panel, network connections and then go to the wireless connection and then select view wireless connections double click on the one with the highest strength, which should be your 2wire. When it asks for the network security key type in the numbers that are located on the sticker on the bottom of your router between the [########] brackets.

Dell Inspiron 6000 with network card Intel/Pro Wireless 2200 BG

So u can connect to the router, but you arent allowet to access the internet?
The router gave your dell a new ip-number, but it dident gave you access to the net. You ned to do the settings in your router manual, let the router give your dell full access.

Good luck
