DVD player won't play new movies

Try this

1.While the previews are playing, press the Menu Button on your DVD player remote to access the DVD's Main Menu.
2.Go to Scene Selection and press your Enter or Ok button on your DVD player remote.
3.Highlight Scene 2 and press the Enter or Ok button. This will start the DVD in Scene 2.
4.Use your rewind or reverse button on your DVD player remote to rewind back to the beginning of Scene 1.

Purchased the DP300 at the Goodwill. The DVD has the remote control;however, I do not know how to use the remote control. I used the red, yellow, and white connector to my the DVD player and to the TV but...

with regard to using the remote control :

Make sure the batteries in the remote are working (they go in the back of the remote at the bottom).

Turn on the DVD player with the power button on the DP300 itself (lower left). Open the dvd tray either with the remote (press open/close button, upper right) or with the button on the DP300. Put a DVD in the tray and close it with the remote or the button on the DP300. The DVD should load.

Use the arrow buttons in the centre of the remote to select choices from the onscreen menu of the DVD. Press Play (centre of the 4 arrow buttons) to activate the choice you want. For example, if you want to play a movie, use the arrow buttons to go up or down until "play movie" is selected, then hit PLAY, and movie will play. If you want to choose a scene/chapter of the movie, use arrow buttons to go up or down until Scene Selection or Chapter is selected (highlighted), and press PLAY. This should bring up a list of the scenes or chapters. Use the arrow buttons to select the one you want, then hit PLAY, and that scene should play.

If the DVD tray is taking less than 20 seconds to operate, there is likely no problem. If it is taking more, there may be. I think the mechanism that opens and closes the tray is often the first thing to stop working on DVD and CD players.

I cannot get past the ferris wheel. as soon as prof and luke start running away my game crashes. i have gone over and over this and still no luck otherwise i love the game. any ideas.

This is typically a problem with "secondhand" copies obtained from eBay (which are often illegal pirated copies)

Basically, the cut scene video is corrupt and this is causing the game to stop

If you did obtain it from a store, return the game for a replacement

I click on the movie it opens a black screen with advertisemnt in it but movie is not played or its not in task list even. please help me out..

If you are trying to play the movie in the DVD player of yours then check that the format of the movie played is compatible with your DVD. Many a times problem occur due to the wrong format being played.
If you are playing the right format then check that the movie contains the whole movie or not, try playing it else where. If it works there then there is a problem with your drive.

Thanks.

Is the scene mode different from the movie mode?

The movie mode records videos. The scene mode lets you select from different modes for still pictures.

Volume Control

I had the same issue, there is a Late night mode on the remote that minimizes the volume of a loud scene so you don't have the constantly adjust the volume. Works great if you are trying to watch a movie while others are trying to sleep.

Can't forward to a scene in the middle of a movie

When this Sign comes up it means that you cannot Forward.
You usually get this at the start of some dvd movies.
It is basically to stop you forwarding through the advertisements.
Ive never (YET) seen this (Logo) in the middle of a film denying you to Fast-Forward to a particular point or where you SHOULD be able to select a scene.
I can only presume this Film you have is either a pirate(IM NOT suggesting that you deal with pirate copies)
or a foreign movie.
