My Amana front load washer Model no. NFW7200TW keeps getting error code OE. Washer beeps and water keeps coming in but the washer does not turn. Washer at times keeps draining while water is pumping out. Other times the water reaches the bottom of the door when it alarms.

  • rshrews Apr 18, 2009

The sensor is the problem. Water level is the main problem. Drain hose is clear. Thank you for your additional research.

This OE code represents a drainage obstruction that could be in the hose or the drainage filter. check the hose for kinks and check the drainage filter as well for clogs. your washer isn't draining properly. the beep is a warning.

After further research, i have come to the conclusion that this is a faulty/defective Thermistor that is tripping the OE code. I would still check the drainage hose for kinks as well but, this issue concerns the Thermistor. it is not functioning at all.

    PART NUMBER- 34001202 (Thermistor)

OE simply means “the pump is blocked”. Presumably the water isn’t being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation.

The possible problems here are blockages or pump failure. Blockages are the more likely explanation but pumps can fail. If the washing machine will not empty the water out you may also not be able to open the door on some washing machines although these days it's much rarer to have a pneumatic lock on the door due to cost cutting (if a washing machine has a pneumatic door safety lock a rubber hose is connected to the door interlock from the pressure chamber bottle on the tub - water in the tub forces air up this tube and locks the door, which is released when the water is pumped out and the air pressure drops).

hope this help§.

I have an amana front load washer nfw7200tw10 I replaced the drain pump and still get ND error

I had the same problem, not sure it was your pump, load it with a bucket of hot water and some bleach, turn it on and let it run through a short cycle, the hot water and bleach can clean the sensor and the screen in the bottom going down to the pump, did water drain out when you took the lines loose, if it did its a good sign, most people dont realize you use only a quarter or less cup of soap in this washer, it will get the sensor water sensor dirty and the washer thinks it has water when it doesnt, the pump cant drain cause there is no water, . try the hot water trick, rmember use a bucket and as hot a water as you can, probably hair sudds and who know what is blocking the sensor, mine was hair, from my little girl, Matt

Washer has code nd wont drain and signals long beeps ,replaced pump and have the same problem hoses drained and didnt see any obstructions, old pump looks ok,matt

you probably used too much detergent or the wrong type. These new front loaders take no-suds detergent, a shot glass half full worth. The suds get in the water level tube and the level sensor and everywhere else, and cause mayhem. Run some loads with no detergent at all to try to clean the suds out. If the thing works like it should sometimes, it's a cheap fix. The brain power to find a problem and fix it for good, not so cheap. Water Level Switch 25315479-zejmo41uy3tce5x43qikgza0-5-0.jpg

My amana front load washer wont spin and is showing an "nd" error message. what does this mean and how do i fix it?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what I understand the error code ND means “No Drain issue”. You’ll need to check for any restriction in pump assembly. It can also be due to a restricted drain hose or loose wire at pump. If after cleaning the drain hose the issue is not resolved then it means the pump has gone bad and unfortunately needs to be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Amana NFW7200TW washer - door seal ring has detached

The ring is a clamp that keeps the rubber part, called the bellow, attached to the front panel of the washer. To reinstall hook the edge of the bellow around the lip of the opening in the front panel (the hole through which you put your laundry). Then take the clamp and seat it in the groove of the bellow behind the lip of the front panel. The spring on the clamp should pull the bellow tight to the opening of the panel.
