There are many possible causes for this kind of problem. With Safe Mode not booting, though, the possible fixes become few. Your best bet is to put your Windows CD/DVD in the drive and reboot the system by turning it off and back on or hitting the reset button - hitting enter or CTL-ALT-DEL won't give you the kind of reboot you need.

As the system is rebooting, keep watch on the screen near the bottom - you *may* need to hit a key to get the computer to boot from the CD/DVD. Once it's started to boot from the CD/DVD, follow the prompts to re-install Windows.

If you get an option to format the drive, don't do it! Just choose to keep the file system unchanged.

Good Luck!

Deleatded something from windows and now my laptop dont work

You should be able to go into safe mode and do a system restore to just before you had the problem. 1. Turn on your computer and start hitting f8 several times. It should take you to a screen before windows would even start. It will ask you what you want to do. 2. Go into safe mode. 3. Go to control panel, then to system restore, and try restoring it back to a time before the problem started. That will completely reset the computer back to the time you choose. And "should" rectify the problem.

Help my hp dv2000 just keeps restarting??

Hi,

As the computer is working in safe mode, it is clear that operating system files are corrupt.

Perform a repair installation, if it is Windows XP.

For Vista or Windows 7, you can perform system restore from recovery console. To launch recovery console, insert the disc- restart the computer and boot into the disc. Choose repair in the options tab, then choose system restore from the list.

My asus computer has just crashed, it wont open the vista it says windows could not start, a recent modification could be the cause of this problem, how do i get it started

press f8 key at early boot and choose "safe mode". if that boots, "last known good configuration" should get rid of bad added driver, if that won't work go to help and support in safe mode and pick an earlier restore point for when it did work.

I can not get my Acer Aspire 5920 to load after turning on.

Try to see if it will boot in safe mode, by pressing F8 while the laptop boots up. If it allows you to boot in safe mode, try to do a system restore when you know that laptop was working with no problems. You can do this by clicking on start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and choose a date and time when you know that the laptop was working with no problems. If this does not work or you cannot boot in safe mode (be aware that everything will look big in safe mode and when the computer reboots if asked how you want to start windows, choose start windows normally), try doing a recovery. This will restore your computer to the factory default settings when you purchased it. You can do this by booting the computer, when the acer screen appears hold down the ALT key and continuously press F10, this will open the recovery manager and you can restore it from there.

I hope this helps

Windows will not start up

choose start windows in Safe mode, if it starts then everything will look big, don't worry about that for now. Then go to Start>accessories>system Tools>system restore and choose a date when you know that everything was working normally, when it has finished restoring the computer will restart. If asked choose start windows normally.

I hope this helps

PC won't Start windows normally

You can attempt to undo this through the use of System Restore.

I am going to assume you are on Windows XP, So start your computer in safe mode without networking.

Once you are in the desktop you are going to use System Restore. Choose a date in time on your computer before the incident happened.
