Dryer is over heating, all thermo have been replaced along with motor and belt. Turn on and still shuts down and smells like its burning. Dryer is hot to touch.
all wires have been checked dryer has had thermos replaced 2 times before this, dryer overheated 2/08 - 8/08 and 4/09 this time they replaced all the thermos , motor and the belt was worn and the pully was wiped outall wires have been checked dryer has had thermos replaced 2 times before this, dryer overheated 2/08 - 8/08 and 4/09 this time they replaced all the thermos , motor and the belt was worn and the pully was wiped out
Have you checked the wiring for a short or a frayed wire touching the shell of the dryer?Have you checked the wiring for a short or a frayed wire touching the shell of the dryer?

Is there any holes burnt into the liner inside the micro wave.? Or burn spots showing.? If there is thow it out. It is not safe to be useing it.It could start on fire. That problem is from when they are not clean out once in a while. End food is burn,t onto the interior liner end grease end oil,
Unplug the oven and unfasten the cabinet body, using a screwdriver. The body should be attached along the back as well as along the sides or bottom.
Slide the cabinet body back slightly to clear any internal brackets, then lift it off.
Clean the oven, using a vacuum with plastic crevice attachment. Vacuum the fan and other internal parts, then vacuum the vents underneath the oven, on the back and inside the chamber.
Reassemble the oven and plug it in.
Fill a small bowl with a 50-50 mixture of water and white vinegar, then set it in the oven and turn the oven on high for 5 minutes. When the mixture boils, it will remove stubborn smells inside the vents and loosen food particles on the oven walls.
Your dryer may have broken its belt, or the motor may have died. A broken belt is "easy" to fix (if you've done a few), and not too expensive (if you do it yourself). Replacing a motor is a little more involved (the drum has to be removed), and very expensive when doing it yourself, and if you're not going to replace the motor yourself, it may be more cost-effective to replace the appliance rather than pay a technician to replace the motor. A major appliance (dryer/washer) should last 10-11 years.
Possible that the fittings along the magnetron had come to some dampness that has resulted in the heating of the mountings that causes the burning of the mounting gaskets.
If will be best to remove the magnetron and refit it after cleaning it dry and making sure there are no food particles lodged inside that can cause this out of turn heating to happen.
please check also on the main capacitors and the power supply for any heating.
Cleaning the entire unit after swittching off power , cleaning the PCB and the contact leads must solve the issue. If there are any loose joints tighten them.
This is happening due to either the magnetron, or the Power Diode, or both, is breaking down, under load, then the unit detects the fault condition, & then, for safety reasons, to avoid a fire or explosion, shuts down the system. You need to take it in to be looked at please obtain a "Quote" before proceeding with any work. This way you can decide to repair or replace.
The magnetron (the part that heats the food) may be ready to burn out. If you smell the burning, you should then unplug the microwave, open it up and see if you can determine for sure that it is coming from that part. Unfortunately even if I am right, it is almost more cost effective to just replace the microwave rather than replace that part. You can run this microwave till it dies if you want, but I would be ready with a new one.
A burning smell along with a different sound (growl) USUALLY indicates a breakdown in the High Voltage Side. This is not a direct short (short circuit) or the line fuse would have blown shutting everything down. The High Voltage Side is made up of-- The Secondary ,or High Voltage Side of The High Voltage Transformer, A High Voltage Diode, A High Voltage Capacitor, and The Magnetron. If The High Voltage Transformer is the problem it will smell like a florescent light ballast burning, and will smell each time you turn on the MW. A HV Diode burns and opens, thus no more smell. A HV Capacitor usually does not burn nor does the Magnetron. There is no Cheap-Fix unless you can see that the HV Diode is burned into and you can get to it to replace. CAUTION: Always unplug from power before attempting to repair. NOTE: If you replace a Diode make sure it goes back in the same direction it came out. Yes there is a front and back.
