Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100
I don't know what happened when I went to bed it was fine and I woke up and there was a little evaporation inside the screen. I took it apart and used my blow dryer on it which did nothing. When I went to the Tmobile store the tech told me it was my fault it had water damage. I never dropped it in water though. I went online and found an answer saying to put it in the oven at 150. After it cooled down i tried charging it and the screen came on with the battery icon and lightning bolt and the red message light keeps blinking but it won't turn on.
Do not turn on the phone again before taking out all trapped moisture. Take out the battery, sim card, etc. You will need to wrap each piece in newspaper, the phone and battery and then put in a rice container and wait at least 24 hrs. The newspaper and rice will eventually absorb the moisture. I hope this helps!
