Question about Sanyo PLC XU35 Multimedia Projector

Shuts off We have two Sanyo PRO xtrax projectos. Both shut off after 30-45 minutes use. One projector is about three years old, and has a brand-new bulb. The other projector is about a year old.

Clean the filters. This unit has two that must be removed and blown out. If the filters are dirty, the unit will shut off due to overheating prevention.

If you have Enabled Auto-Shut Off Option. This May Happen. Try Disable Auto Shut-Off Option.

clean all air passages. look for overheating issues from dirt buildup. make sure all covers are in place.

Sanyo pro xtrax multi comes on fine, then after about a minute it goes off and the cooling fan runs till it cools down and it shuts off.


symptoms indicate overheating or out of spec bulb ( hours?) check for airflow blockages and dust buildup/

How do i change the bulb in a sanyo pro xtrax multiverse plc-xu30 prodjector


remove the screw on the door on the bottom of the projector for the lamp and pull out the old bulb and replace

Sanyo PRO Xtrax Multiverse Projector powers on but no reflection appears


broken lamp?? check for little cracks in the bulb bar.
If lamp is discoloured( dark grey), overheating is cause, no cooling after using the PJ.

Hi there

If you have the know how open up the machine and replace the fuse on the Powersupply board ( where the AC socket sits in )

If this still occurs , I'm afraid you will have to replace the Powersupply board.

LCD PROJECTOR GOES BLANK


Check the cooling fan/ air ducts - sounds like it's overheating and shutting off to prevent damage.
