Dryer short cycles NORGE MODEL DGJ 208
HEATS FOR ABOUT A MINUTE,SAFETY THEMO.OPENS,CLOSES IN ABOUT 15 SECONDS,HEATS AGAIN,CYCLE CONTINUES.
HAVE ALREADY REPLACED COIL SET,AND SAFETY THERMO./FUSE(53-1096).IF SAFETY THERMO.IS JUMPED FLAME STAYS ON(ONCE AGAIN IT IS A NEW PART).ALL VENTING IS CLEAN,AND OPEN.
DOES THE THERMO.ONLY REACT TO HEAT??CANNOT POSSIBLY BE GETTING TO 240F IN A MINUTE OR LESS.
ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

- PROBLEM FIXEDDid not check exhaust vent(outside)flapper was door jammed shut, freed it,now dryer works perfect,total air flow keeps safety thremostat in operating range,no longer(overheats) opens, and shut burner down.Probably did not need new parts.Live,and learn.

- How long did your fix work? I have cleaned the outside vent over and over and it gets clogged again in an inordinately short amount of time (4-6 wks of light to normal use). - Regulator26
