How does one forward incomming calls on a uniden 2.4ghz cordless phone?

Cordless phones can not 'forward' a call to an outside line.
Forwarding must be controlled by the ATT, Verizon, or landline provider.
Please contact your provider to determine if you have call forwarding feature built into your service package.

Then, follow the instructions of your landline phone provider.
Here is the instructions for Verizon:

Activating Call Forwarding
You can activate Call Forwarding whenever you want your calls to be sent to another phone, including a mobile phone. Once activated, all your calls will be sent to the forwarding number you request. Each time a call is forwarded, you will hear one short reminder tone on your home phone, but you will not be able to answer the call from your home number.

  1. Lift your telephone's receiver and listen for a dial tone.

  2. Press star.gif7.gif2.gif.
In some areas you must use 7.gif2.gifpound.gif
Dial 1172 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones.

  3. When you hear the tone, set or change the Call Forwarding number by dialing the telephone number where you want your calls transferred.
You will hear the number you entered ring. When the number is answered, Call Forwarding is activated.

  4. If the call is not answered or the line is busy, hang up and call the number again within two minutes.
You will hear two short tones telling you that Call Forwarding is activated.

  5. Hang up the receiver.

Not able to ring out or recieve calls on landline 01772465172

Is there a dial tone? Have you tried plugging in outside in the NID(phone box) on the side if the house. Take a corded telephone out to the box if it has a test port to plug into. If it does, plug in. If you have a dialtone, then the problems inside with either the station wires or jacks, or other equipment that is plugged into the jacks. Remove all devises from the jacks if trouble is inside and take a known working phone and plug it into a jack. if it works, plug in another device, so on and so on. Be sure to check dial tone, break dial tone by pressing a button. Hang phone up and see if dial tone has returned. If not, then that piece of equipment is bad.
If no dial tone at the NID, then call in a trouble report of NO DIAL TONE to the telephone company of cable provider. To save money if trouble is inside, purchase the inside wiring maintenance plan and then have them come work on the phone lines. After the service is restored, call and cancel the maintenance. $5 and you're back in service, provided that's all the teleco charges for wiring maintenance.

Will not dial out on landline in the tone mode but

There's something wrong with the base unit that connects to the phone line. It's not sending any audio to the phone line, which would explain why tone dialing doesn't work and people can't hear you. (Pulse dialing doesn't need the audio tones so it will still work.)

I've never run across one doing this before. The problem is almost certainly some electronic failure, and I doubt there's anything you can do other than replacing the thing. If this is still under any warranty it should be up to the manufacturer to repair or replace it. If you got this from VoIP service provider, contact their customer service department.

My landline phone does not work. I tested it outside on the company's jack and the phone works. I have 3 jacks in the house and it will not work on any of them, including the one I get the internet. The...

One of the phone handsets of the Panasonic KX-TG563 trio gives me static w/ dial tone and then shuts down or it gives me the message that "System is busy/Line in use" with no dial tone. If I get closer to the base unit it seems to work but w/ alot of static. The base unit phone works good and the other handset works ok too. The battery shows fully charged however, when I take the battery out to try a reset when I put it back in the battery indicator show very low. I tried switching batteries w/ the othe hand sets it doesn't help.

No dial tone on my landline, but have dsl

I bit the bullet and canceled my landline! I did so without an internet back-up though. I HAD an appointment with comcast so I could stay online, but I canceled it. The reason being, my wifi is still working fine! I'm scared to shut my modem off, for fear I will lose this gift from the Cyber Gods!! I bought myself a "magic jack",it was even mispriced $19.99. I hooked it up, instant landline & fax too! ALL FREE!! Does anyone have a clue how/why I still get the internet? Has anyone ever shut there modem off? If so, did you keep your internet? I NEVER have good luck, I MEAN NEVER. So, after so many years of paying for all these over priced, some would even argue, unessary this day & age, monthly pain in the wallet things. Im done! At least I pray to the Cyber Gods that I am! Im knocking on wood as I type!

Phones Dead but DSL OK

A short inside the house should also disable the DSL service, but you can rule out this possibility by disconnecting the inside wiring from the outside wiring at the entrance box. If you still can't get a dial tone when you clip onto the incoming wires, then you need to contact your local phone company to have them find the problem and restore your phone service.
Good luck...and I hope this is helpfull!!
