Do you think the driver is bad. I Shoul not have to do a system restore. And I just istalled my virus scans to. I did'nt think it looked right for that driver light to flicker.

I would return it if possible. Otherwise if you have the option and you don't mind, run the restore procedure that resets it to factory defaults.

it's possible that it's a bad driver. You could do a system restore (from the windows menu) that sets the driver and system state back to a few days ago.

  • Mike McWhinney Apr 17, 2009

Do you mean safe mode? Can you run in normal startup?

If you really don't mind losing your setup, I would recommend restoring from factory defaults since it is so new.

Protected mode for IE is explained by this link:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows...

This link shows you how to disable the protected mode in your browser:

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/05/26...

You could always reinstall internet explorer if your browser is really not working.

Sorry to here about your issue. It sounds to me that you might have some kind of Malware on this PC. Internet explorer comes with the Operating system and is on your computer.
Try this:
in Windows XP
Start>My Computer>C:>Program Files>Internet Explorer
Once you're in the Internet Explorer window you will see the "E" for internet Explorer you can drag and drop it to your desktop or Right click and send to your desktop.
If there is Malware on the PC you will have to remove that to resolve your issues. so try this

Boot your PC into safe mode with Networking:
To start the computer in safe mode with Networking 1.
You should print these instructions before continuing. They will not be available after you shut your computer down in step 2.
2.
Click Start and then click Shut Down.
3.
In the drop-down list of the Shut Down Windows dialog box, click Restart, and then click OK.
4.
As your computer restarts but before Windows launches, press F8.
On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press F8 when the boot menu appears.
5.
Use the arrow keys to highlight the appropriate safe mode with networking option, and then press ENTER.
6.
If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot system, choose the installation that you need to access using the arrow keys, and then press ENTER.

Once your in safe mode with networking click on links below:

Today I can't access Yahoo at all, why?

Hi. If you cannot access Yahoo but can access other websites, what I can suggest for you to do is to reset your browser settings. Here are the instructions depending on you browser on how to reset settings.

INTERNET EXPLORER Version 7 & 8:
Click TOOLS > Internet Options > Go to Advanced Tab > Click RESET button > Reset > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Internet Explorer Browser that you have open. Open a new Internet Explorer then try accessing Yahoo again.

INTERNET EXPLORER Version 9
Click the gear icon on the upper right part of the internet explorer window > Internet Options > Go to Advanced Tab > Click RESET button > Reset > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Internet Explorer Browser that you have open. Open a new Internet Explorer then try accessing Yahoo again.

MOZILLA FIREFOX Version 3.0 & 3.6
Click on TOOLS > Clear Recent History > On the dropdown box, choose EVERYTHING. > Clear now > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Mozilla Firefox Browser that you have open. Open a new one then try accessing Yahoo again.

MOZILLA FIREFOX 4.0
Click on FIREFOX on the upper left part of the mozilla firefox window > HISTORY > On the dropdown box, choose EVERYTHING >Click Clear now > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Mozilla Firefox Browser that you have open. Open a new one then try accessing Yahoo again.

If you cannot connect other websites besides Yahoo, contact your internet provider.

Hope this helps! Have a great day.

How can i connect internet with my latop

Connecting to the internet requires you to subscribe to an internet provider. If you already have a subscription, just connect your lap top to the modem and click Internet Explorer to connect to the internet.

I have vista and when I go to print, it says internet explorer stopped working and I have to turn the computer off to restart internet explorer

Hi, there are many reasons to the issue that you are facing while printing. The first step that you can do is reset the internet explorer to its manufacturer's default settings. To do this Open Control Panel > Internet Options. Once you are there, open Advanced Tab and locate the button RESET. You can go ahead and reset Internet Explorer. Once done try to open Internet Explorer and try to click on "Tools" menu and then select "Internet Options" again and go to Advanced Tab and once again try to RESET it.
Now try to check it by printing. This time there won't be any issue while printing.
Cheers!
