Question about Samsung DVD-V5500 DVD Player/VCR
I inserted a brand new Blueray DVD into my Samsung Blueray DVD player. While I was doing this, the player started doing a firmware update. Now I can't get it to play or release the disc. Help!
You may now have corrupted firmware. did the dvd contain the firmware update?
Are you sure there wasn't already a cd in the tray? (Ie two cd's are now inside?
The easiest way to remove the cd if turning off fails is to remove the screws around the casing. Lift off the lid and the cd should come out easily, however if the update was corrupt or the wrong firmware you may now have a dead player.
Try removing the Cd as described first with the power off and plug removed.
Then see if the unit powers up and the drawer opens.
If so you may be able to revert it to its original firmware from the vendors site.
