Re: usb wont recognize
Do you have media player 11? try downloading the MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

The Creative site offers a Recovery tool to get your Zen back in shape, but first,do you have Microsoft Media Player 11 installed? Check the settings for USB modes MSC or MTP and try switching back and forth and reconnecting to see if that will help. See this tip posted here on this site copy this address into a new window. http://www.fixya.com/support/r3774047-solve_mp3_player_connection_problemSee if this will help.
insert zen v plus install cd exit out of autorun for cd go to control panel click on system click on the hardware tab click on device manager click on portable devices right click on your USB device with the yellow warning sign go to properties when it tells you that the drivers arent installed... go to the browse button and select your zen v plus install disk hit ok and it will find the drivers that way...
as for thedisplay... once you get the computer to recognize its there troubleshoot it.
i had the same problem but solved it, it seems that the usb driver does not always install with the software installation so you must install using the DEVICE MANAGER make sure first your mp3 player is connected, so ( copy & paste) your software to desktop, then go to CONTROL PANEL, then SYSTEM, then HARDWARE then DEVICE MANAGER, in device manager you should see ( zen v plus ) with a yellow question mark above it, which means the drivers are missing, click onto that and follow instructions to install the drivers which you will find in the software you have pasted to desktop. good luck, tony spain
try aa different USB Port if your computer Has One.
Turn the power On The MPEG Player on and off when it,s Connected.
If this does,nt help.
Replace your USB lead, it is possibly broken internally, or player fault.

·Make sure you have media player 11 ·If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this. ·Download recovery tool off creative's website.
