Question about Samsung SH-S182 DVD±RW Dual Layer Burner
- Boot into Safe Mode
- See if burned DVD's are readable
- If they are, it is a software (drivers/registry) problem (see below)
Flashing your drive's firmware, cleaning your drive, or doing anything to the hardware will NOT fix this type of problem - it is purely a software fault.
guly's solution above is, quite frankly, idiotic - if the lens can read shop-bought/movie/game DVDs then it can also read the burned DVDs and so quite obviously it has nothing to do with the hardware.
I have a similar problem, and am still working logically toward a solution, but rest assured if it can read them in Safe Mode then it's a software fault you're looking at.

Try to clean the lens using coton and water if not working change the lens.
