Question about Car Audio & Video
I have a Ford F-150 with a 6 CD radio. I have a CD somewhere in there between 1 & 2 and if I can get the radio out of the dash, perhaps I can retrieve the CD. How do I remove the radio?
Look carefully at the plastic frame that goes around the stereo. Figure out if it's one piece or two pieces etc... You are going to have to remove the trim around the stereo and then you will have access to the screws that hold the stereo in place. Don't force the trim, it may be held with a screw that you don't see right away. Pull the stereo carefully because there are wires plugged into the back along with the stereo antenna. You don't want the antenna wire to fall down behind the dash, it can be difficult to retrieve. Just remember where all the screws came from. Take a digital picture before you start if you have one available to you.
