Question about Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera
The pictures that I transfer from the XTi to my computer are very dark when displayed on the monitor. Looking at the same pictures on the camera display they look perfectly exposed. Pictures downloaded from the Internet or received from friends are displayed normally on the monitor. I use the Canon supplied EOS utility to download the pictures from the XTi to the computer. Any help in resolving this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Seems to be a common problem with the XTi. Some say it's designed to underexpose to avoid washing out the bright parts of scene. Personally I found it a pita. I had to PhotoShop each shot.So I sent it back to the repair facility. They re-calibrated it. Now it works fine.
