Question about Lexicon Lambda Usb Desktop Recording Interface Sound Card

1 Answer

I Installed the Lexicon Lambda and followed all of the instructions to the letter. I can hear sound out with no problem, but when I record, it records from my laptops internal mic. Thus, everything in the room is recorded...my talking, moving etc. I disabled the computers default record in and selected the Lambda as the record in and got a message that I am unable to record any audio. So, I download the ASIO4all drivers and still the same problem. I even disabled all the record in defaults and I still her myself when I try to record. How can I fix this? I have a HP laptop with 3 GB hard drive. Please help somebody.

My OS is Vista. When I say I record everything in the room...i mean it's like recording on an open mic. It's picking up everything.

Already disabled the computers default mic and selected Lexicon. But still not working.

You will need to go into your sound properties, you can do this by clicking on the speaker Icon thats down by the clock (lower rights hand side of your screen) that should bring up sliders for everything.
Their is also other options and advanced options you may need to enable that could be specific to your devices. but the main thing here would be for you to disable the one mic and enable the one you want and also possibly lower its sensitivity levels.

I am totally lost!! All I have is the lambda lexicon and cubase LE4 on my desktop.Apparently it is not set up correctly. I want to record guitar and voice I have sound on lambda through mike and guitar but...

All it needs is a USB connection. You'll need to go into Cubase device setup and make sure your lambda drivers are selected. Then create the audio channels in cubase with the inputs set as the inputs you're using for guitar and mic. There is a monitor button right next to the record enable button that needs to be enabled if you want to hear playback from your computer.

Good luck!

Lexicon Omega will not play any sound on Windows XP

one of several install steps (the steps seem to vary depending on which manual you can find) mention checking your sound device setup in control panel. ON one machine I installed the sound devices were not affeted. On a 2nd PC they were changed from drivers installed with PC to the Lambda driver

Win XP settings->control panel->Sounds and Audio Devices then select Audio tab. Make sure the three areas are set up to use your PC's default drivers and not lambda's.

You may need to verify this again when reconnecting the Lambda USB cable. Sort of new but ran into this "issue" as well.

Found info in Lambda Studio Software Installation Guide I downloaded, step B following driver install.

Lambda doesn't record, though it seems ready to go

you need to go to the "control panel" on your computer.....click on sounds and audio devices, then hit the "audio" tab...make sure the lambda is selected on the recording and playback device....then apply...this should take care of it
