Question about Pioneer DEH-P6400 CD Player

No power on Pioneer DEH-P6400

I changed the battery in a 1999 Toyota Camry and now my radio will not come on. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Sounds like a blown fuse, go through your fuse panel and check for blown fuses, your car may also have a fuse panel under the hood.

I have a Pioneer DEH-P6400 head unit. I need a wiring diagram so i can reinstall it.

the standard radio diagram is

yellow 12v battery

red 12v accessory

black earth

blue/white amp rem

blue power antenna

white fr left +

white/black fr left -

grey fr right +

grey/black fr right -

green rear left +

green/black rear left -

purple rear right +

purple/black rear right -

How do i test my pioneer p6400. I'd like to see it power up and not install it. In other words, just connect it directly to the battery to see if it lights up

Connect the RED and YELLOW Wires Together and Put them on the POS Battery Terminal and Either Use the BLACK WIRE or the CASE ITSELF to GROUND it On the NEG Terminal this is How you get what you are asking. WARNING::: -> bE sure yOU hAVE tHE power leads fused TO pROTECT AGAINST CATASTROFIC FAILURE

Wiring A Pioneer DEH P6400

If the factory harness is still in tact, you can buy an adapter at Best Buy for about 20$ or ask to see one and write down the pins and wires then match it up and cut n splice to your new deck. Hope this helps

Pioneer deh-6400 tuner has no audiobut cd plays ok

Did you also use an antena adapter? If not you may need one. Original in the vehicle is small and can pop out from the radio.

go to a car stereo store and buy an adapter plug it will plug into the plugs in your dash then all you have to do is match the wire colors from your radio to the colors on the adapter..........i believe some walmart stores carry these

Install pioneer DEH-P6400 into 98 dodge dakota, just wont work :-(

Have you measured the 12v ignition and permanent supply?
Also check the earth.
You will need a tester for this.
Check the fuses

One of the replies from another 'helper' hit it on the money with a different model. You need to press & hold (in off position) the # 6 button for demo. Once the demo starts, a choice for inverted display will suggest to press #5 to turn off or on. At that time you will be able to correct your problem as I have. I had to do it twice because I was driving at the time, which I don't suggest , when I remembered the advice , lo and behold, it worked . Thank you other replier for that tip.
