Check voltage to Hor. driver TX (approx. 25v.) If not present check Q904 for S/C or leakage. It controls the regulator/switching transistor supplying hor. driver TX. I tried a 100ohm resistor from base to gnd overrode the bias (Q904) and set functioned normally.

When switched on, the stby LED comes on it is indication that supply input is there. the problem could be in no output from regulated output supply in your tv. if it is ok then horizontal section is to be checked.

I have a Sharp 70" (LC-70LE632U) LED TV. When you turn it on, the front led is on, but no screen. After a few seconds, the front led starts 5 short and 2 longer blink and continue this way constantly.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices
http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/

Blinking codes details of many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Counting of number of blinks to Philips TVs is entirely different to that of other brand TVs. It is not a direct count procedure. The site have details about how to count the number of LED blinks [Fault Codes] to Philips brand TVs are given; along with details of the faulty circuit location

I have a sharp aquos lc-c4677un its not turning on at all now. When I push the power botton on the tv, the power light turns on and about 2-3sec the power and opc light start to blink and thats about it.

How are the power and opc lights blinking? Do they blink simultaneously or does one blink then the other? How many time do they blink per second? Also have you had it fixed yet? and if so what was done? I had a similar problem with my set.

I have a rca truflat tv and when I plug it in the standby red light comes on but nothing happens when I hit the power button. I have tried holding down the ch- and vol- buttons at the same time and nothing...

I work on a lot of this model RCA, a reputable tv shop can repair this type of problem for less than a new set. You really need a techician for component level repair of this nature.

My aiko tv is stuck on child lock. I have no remote and dont know how to get the child lock off.

You can try turning it on and pressing all the buttons down at the same time, that sometimes will reset tv's to factory.
