Question about HP Computers & Internet
How to restore factory default on HP mini laptop? The laptop "mini 1120NR" got a preset owner name and password which I cannot change. Is there a way to restore it to its original factory default mode?
Hey guy's stop wasting your time on asking stupid questions! The hidden system recovery for HP mini 110 is this~
1st - Make it sure the Adapter and the Battery is already attached on your laptop.
2nd - Press the power button to turn it on.
3rd - When you see the HP logo on screen just easily press F6 rapidly.
4th - Stop pressing the F6 when the "Windows Starting" appears on.
5th - After that easily read all the useful instructions on how to system restore your HP mini 110.
Note: Don't mind the Dell, F10 or anything just do this ok?

I have the solution, fist connect the laptop to the ac adapter then turn it on and start pressing the F6 key (press then release, press then release a few times) then it will go to the recovery partition that is hidden, then just follow the on screen instructions. let me know if it works for you. or if you need more help contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org

Mini DOES have factory restore capability, Press F11 repeatedly after restart (may need to go through HP's quickstart overlay 1st ie: start windows)
Then Recovery Manager loads and you can pick "Factory Image Recovery" or utilize other options.

CTRL-F10 does the trick for systems made by Dell, maybe you need to do the same thing.

Going through some of these fixes with my HP 311-1037NR with built in verizon wireless aircard it seems f6 repeatedly openes th Memory diag. press and hold f10 opens the bios. PRESS AND HOLD F11 OPENS TH SYSTEM RECOVERY. In this the computer will format the hard drive reinstall the factory software. I takes a good while though and there is a option to back your stuff up.. but i did that way before trying to restore my laptop. Good Luck..
PS. dont forget to have your charger pluged in and do this as soon as you see HP

Hey I had this problem today and I have finally found the way to fix it!!!!
Go to this site from a desk top and DOWNLOAD this program... you will need a USB flash Drive once finished DOWNLOADING you will then send it to your USB FLASH DRIVE then put that USB FLASH DRIVE into your laptop when it is powered off and turn it on it will start the process for you just be patient. You can then CREATE YOUR BACKUP and then continue on to RESTORE your laptop setting to a earlier setting you can choose the date your self. There is also other options there if RESTORE is not what you are looking for.
I hope this is usefull to you I did this and it worked also I did it because I could not get past the password as I did not know it...LOL.

HP ACER and more brands have sometimes hidden partition on their drives the software is in the middle of an commercial protected manner Some people can live with it, and some not but the first thing to realize is when the software is on a hidden partition and that that hidden partition is having the Microsoft software hidden , the first thing is get that partition copy or cloned to an image , redo backup or maybe macrium backup free from cd can help you before a virus or other thing can happend with that drive that is where the most people have trouble with also a virus have made an mbr broken link to that partition thats why the best thing is to clone that drive by a bootable linux live cd dvd or even a pen(usb)drive then you have a fresh copy
for if it goes wrong for one reason or another
