The black wire burnt off on the line going into the heating elem

Its an admiral (ade7005ayw) electric dryer. The wire burnt off at the connector going into the heating element from the motor. Is it possible that the element shorted out? If so do you know if i need to remove the drum to remove the element?

No, you do not need to remove the drum. But you will need to remove the cover from the blower assembly. Using a volt meter, check the elements continuity to determine if it is bad or good.

Maytag Dryer MDE3706AYW has a burnt black wire, did the wire just have a bad day or do I need to replace the heating element and the wire?

All should be good. I think the element had run on due to a bad hi-limit thermostat that you said you replaced.

How do you get to the element on admiral dryer model ADE7005AYW

to start, you need to unplug the dryer, then remove the front panel and look at the rear left and you will see the element. remove the 2 connectors and 2 screws holding the element and to install your new one just reverse the procedure. be carefull not to touch the new heating element coils. your skin oils will shorten the life of the element. good luck to you.

I have an Admiral ADE7005AYW that will not start. We have checked the plug and it is fine but the dryer will not turn on or light up. What could be the problem?

I f the cord is ok where it connects inside the dryer then There are several other things that could cause this.
A couple of the more common things to check are:

1. You could have a defective door switch. you can check the switch with an ohm meter for continuity.

2. You could also have a bad thermal fuse. Also check this thermal fuse for continuity. this fuse shuts the dryer down if it over heated. if the thermal fuse is bad check your venting for blockage or crimping.

Can't open Admiral ADE7005AYW

Try sliding a thin putty knife rearward at each front corner of the top while lifting upward slightly. Shine a light into the joint and look for metal joining the two halves. Once the top is loose, look for screws in the inside front edges and lift up on the front panel to release. Make sure to pull the power plug while working in there.

Can't find the heating element on my admiral dryer ade7005ayw

Normal 0 Hi, UNPLUG the dryer! Remove the rear panel of the dryer and locate the element on the right hand side. Plug the dryer in to test to see if there is 240V going to the element posts. If there is voltage, but no heat, change the element. If it does not, you need to test the thermostats for continuity. If any of the thermostats are open, replace it. I hope this helps you.
Please let me know if this help or if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic
