Thank you for your info. I figured the parts where no longer available. So I will just throw it away. It is too heavy to even think about mailing it to Cleveland. I will try EBAY.

The Right margin is there and auto return is on. Tab to right end and set R. margin there.

The WW 30 is a good T/W it is limited to 99 memory addresses With a disk drive storage is unlimited. A reconditioned one would be 375.00.

On the R. side of the keyboard there is a print mode key, press that and DL PRT will show on display.

try turning the metal shaft that the carrier is on. turn it towards the back of the machine.

All of a sudden, the typewriter quit typing.

The plastic cap on the print solenoid is probably broken, they are available but a little tricky to install.

It sounds a little strange that 6 TW's would all stop at once, are you sure there is power to them. I suppose if you had a brown out of a big voltage spike it could effect more than one. If you want to send one of theme to us we can give you a free estimate.

IBM Wheelwriter 30 series II - prints only half a letter

If it types only the top half yhe platen is probably not all the way in. Make sure the 2 black latches are lined up with the side frames then press down firmly on both sides of the platen.

You can hook up a standard computer monitor to the typewriter, but it won't recognize color, and sometimes on eBay you can find IBM POS (point of sale) monitors that will work on the typewriter. Do you still have the typewriter?

The WW system 40 was only made for a short time and many of the parts are no longer available, however if you can get it to us we can give you a free estimate. You might look on EBAY, it may be cheaper to replace it.
