Sony KV-29-SN21 TV power supply clicks, no picture no sound

HI,
By three blink it means the B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is because there is problem in the power supply circuit. Check for any dry soldering in the power supply side. If the tv is working properly for 20 minutes then its sure that there is some dry soldering joints in the power supply side. You have to resolder suspected soldering contacts using soldering ion and solder. The dry soldering joints will look like on in the picture.

The Sony error codes go up to 7, so when the standby light flashes 11 times it usually means that one of the clock or data lines deep inside the set is shorted to ground. intermittent problems can usuall be liked to bad solder connections. And sony typically has some that will develop after a few years in the power supply. so check for bad sodler connections throught the main board & give a close look to the power supply & check you work after to make sure you have no shorted pins. good luck.

The set needs professional help,base in the description it seems it suffer a cascade power supply fairlure and it might take a few parts the get it repaired.Get an estimate to decide for a replacement.
