While it does erase songs on the device, it also erases every single thing i have imported. How do I erase just a couple of certain songs?

If it connects to your computer, you can format it under My Computer. My Computer>Device Name> Right click and select format. Best of Luck.

Open My Computer, Double Click on the device and you should see a music folder inside.

If not, it may be hidden, enable hidden files & folders on your computer, then you should see them.

    Best of Luck.

No display

i think that a good firmware update would repair the problem
Make sure it's the good model and download the latest firmware
download it
connect your mp3 player and run the firmware updater
that should reset your mp3 player without erasing your song and display should be ok
Good luck

Reboot is the mildest of the two - it will restart the player without erasing any songs. Try that one first, and let me know how it performs. Fromat and firmware will erase all songs on the player.

Hi and help

it seems like that songs was corrupted, and caused an error in the players hardware. what you need to do is erase the player completely and then find a new copy of the song that you had on there, so as not to cause this problem again

Recovery Mode

I agree, use the Reload Firmware tool on recovery mode and then upgrade the firmware from the website. If you get "firmware failed!", then try it from a different computer.

Music wont play.

You may have formated the mp3 and there by erased the firmware that allows it to play as a stand alone mp3 player.

there doesn't seem to be support for vista but the link for the firmware and update is here. this will at least let you use it as an mp3 player again
