Hiya ~
I have a pretty generic looking Philips universal remote control. :) My nephew accidentally hit the "code search" button instead of power when he wanted to turn off the tv. Needless to say, I do not have the manual & code list since I've had this remote for months.
After spending a long time fruitlessly searching online, I'm hoping that you can help me reprogram this silly remote control. Even went to the Philip's official website ~ talk about no help! They kept asking for a model number which is no where to be found on mine. Or, maybe they don't care since this is the ultra cheapo model. hahahaha....
The only technical info I have is ~
Philips Universal
Silver w/blue & "clear" buttons
Code Search button at top left
Inside battery compartment - CL032 and 10/06
Orion Television
Does anyone have the codes (Orion brand tv) & instructions for entering them? Grateful for any help! :)

Programming a Device using Code Search:
- Manually turn ON your device (TV, VCR, Cable Box)
- Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
- Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once.
- Release CODE SEARCH.
- Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
- Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
- With the device on, press any other button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.

Okay so I have the same remote and after playing with the remote for 1 hour, I figured it out.
1. Turn on your TV manually.
2. Press and hold (Setup) until light stays lit.
3. Press (TV) button.
4. Press (Channel Up) until the TV changes. If you missed the channel, you can press (Channel Down) until the TV changes again.
5. Then just press (OK) and your done.
Other manuals say press (Mute) to keep the code, but for this remote, just press (OK) button.

I have the same type of remote, and an Orion Television. The code for the Orion Television is 115.
Press the Codesearch button until light stays on
press the TV button
then hit 115

I have a philips universal remote. It has dark blue buttons and clear buttons. I have all the codes, but I can't seem to get them to program. I hold down the code/search butto and light stays on. When I hold and release the TV button, it will do mulitiple blinks but not stay on. If I do get it to stay on when i try to put in the second set of codes it blinks and goes out but nothing works. what am i doing wrong?

entered all the steps including the code mentioned in booklet for my admiral tv/vcr to my phillips remote but still cannot get it to work. My dvd player accepted it just fine.
