Question about Nissindo LX-8080 Microphone

1 Answer

Two separate karaoke machines. Mikes (one cordless)

Work when you sing into the side of them. But music stops when you sing into top.

Maybe you could try to write anything more, so that someone else might understand it too.
Are you running it through a noise gate? Maybe you should set the gate thresshold and decrease mic gain or send its signal through a limiter. Because singing "to the sides" of the microphones results in less volume(sound pressure on the diaphragm) than "singing to their top".
Are you using a feedback killer/destroyer/whatever? Try to have the singers stand either behind the speakers or on the other side of the room. I recommend  the first option-much better and easier.
Are you running the signal through a mixing board?
Is there a gain switch on the receiver of the microphones? if yes try to keeep it set i between halfway and three quarters of max, closer to the latter.
If there is too much of signal coming from the microphone, the amplifiers overheat-preventing fuses might cut off the signal, if the mic gain is all the way up and the amp is close to similar heights...

And unless you are a trained singer using a professional condenser microphone or on a small loud live stage with a few monitors, there's no use to sing right in the "top" of the microphone. :) It's nicer from the side, or at least a bit offset.

ask if I missed something and try to be more in depth and specific, as I'm trying to be with my answers. and rate pls

regards

Remote not work

Seems to me you may have dirt either on the eye of the remote or on the component, unless a small wire inside the remote has come off due to use ( example...dropping the remote on the floor) if you have a separate Universal remote (you can get them for under $20 and you can always take it back to the store if unneeded [...Walmart works]) and try playing with that and see that it's not the component and that your problem is with the remote. Good Luck and I hope it works out for you.

I just received a GPX JM250S Karaoke Party Machine. I have not tried a actual Karaoke CD yet. I plugged ipod in. Problem is- music is playing, then when I speak into mic music stops playing. There is no...

The music to sing along with apparently MUST come from a disk played on the unit. It appears that the external audio jacks are just to use the unit as either a boombox or to drive a larger sound system. You will have to convert your IPOD music into a Karaoke compatible CD to be able to sing along with it... They probably detect MIC input and mute any incoming signals from the RCA jack inputs,

2-second delay with Magic Sing

i bought et18k. just the same as yours.its 2 days old and has the same problem. the technical assistant says that its because of the digital setting that new tvs have. there are two ways to solve this though:

1. connect the video (yellow plug) to the tv. and the other two plugs (yellow and white) to the stereo. when i say stereo, its not the dvd home theater system that you have but a separate one. if you connect it to the home theater that you have, it'll just sound the same, you still have the delay.

2. connect the magic sing to the older tvs hangin out. and you'll get no problem at all.

**TVs such as sony, samsung, philips, sharp and all plasma tvs including other newly designed tvs will have the delay since they all share the HDMI thingy that causes sh*t.

No sound when cd is playing, or on microphone

probably the amp section- I am working on a STVG-700 right now, the audio amp is mounted on the lowest circuit board in the case, includes the power supply except for the transformer. There are fuses mounted on this board, with luck that's all that blew on this. I know this problem is months old, but if you're like me and didn't get it fixed quickly, it's still sitting around somewhere...

The mikes are easy. Generally the wire gets disconnected - so you can either buy a new wire connector or have it soldered - very easy job. Not sure about the screen display problem - good luck
